She was formerly on the faculty of Princeton University, worked as a clinical professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey and has since 1987, that’s about three years after I was born been, she’s been a leader and teacher of EFT tapping. She’s the author of leading book in this field called “Discover the Power of Meridian Tapping: A Revolutionary Method for Stress-Free Living”. And she’s well known in the EFT community for her EFT choices method. So, Pat thank you very much for making it to the show

I think asking questions and listening works the best when you’re trying to meet somebody. People love talking about themselves. They don’t get that opportunity for somebody to truly listen. So the more you listen to them the more deeply they become connected to you. They’re investing in you by giving you their time and sharing their lives with you. So just ask a question, and hear who they are and what they do and what they enjoy.

Siamak suffered from intense 10/10 social anxiety whenever he was the centre of attention. 

He said "In situations such as public speaking, being the centre of attention, or performance situations, I felt extremely anxious. 10 out of 10 anxious."

He had tried CBT sessions, seen psychologists, and tried other approaches But, he said "to be honest with you, they didn’t work."

He thought this had little chance of succeeding also, and he thought he was a very tough case.

But now, he says "I am very very happy that I have tried this approach. I now feel calm and relaxed in those types of situations. I did my wedding speech at my 25th wedding anniversary. I was calm and relaxed, and it was an amazing feeling and experience. Now if I go into social situations, I really don’t care about people’s judgment and other stuff. I really enjoy my confidence and had fun while I was giving my speech"

"I used to be so overwhelmed and nervous in social situations. Now I am relaxed and enjoy my time in social situations with people."

Salwa's words, the woman you hear from in this interview. She's a former caching client whom I interviewed.

We used EFT to overcome her social anxiety.

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and it is an innovative technique that combines modern psychology with ancient Chinese medicine to rapidly release negative emotions.

It can be seen as a psychological form of acupuncture. But instead of using needles, you tap on certain acupressure points on the face and body while you focus on traumatic memories or painful emotions.

However strange it may sound if you hear this for the first time, the process of tapping somehow processes the emotions, and you experience relief.

The tapping is an incredibly effective, yet gentle technique to rapidly neutralise excessive negative emotions like fear, anxiety, hurt, shame, anger, guilt, insecurity, and to clear limiting beliefs like “I’m not good enough”, “people don’t like me”, “there’s something wrong with me” and so on.

I’ve used it to beat my own social anxiety, and the woman whom you hear from is someone who experienced the power of this simple technique as well.
