“There are various stages of transformation, which have an order to them”

The words of Sue Beer, who is an originally trained in psychodynamic psychotherapist, an experienced Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, EFT Founding Master and AAMET Master Trainer of Trainers.

Sue shares how to get started with big change so that you maintain your motivation. She shares how to go from despair to hopeful. She explains the difference between “white knuckling change” (using ongoing will-power) versus true transformation.

She says: We get what we focus on. Beliefs are not truths and they haven’t come out of thin air. They don’t just descend on us. We attach to them usually as a consequence of a decision we make when something happens to us.

These beliefs are not what we really are. But as long as we hold on to them we get what we're expecting. We attract people who kind of confirm and give us evidence that we’re not good enough.

She shares in this interview the one thing you should focus on to make the biggest change that lasts.

He shares two simple and effective techniques you can use immediately to let go of worrying and release stress. He says:

Anxiety relies on triggering sympathetic nervous system consistently, which is the part of your nervous system that is all about fighting beasts. It triggers adrenaline, it triggers cortisol, noradrenaline and dopamine as well… but is is very linked to the speed at which we talk.

Your breathing is linked to your internal voice speed. Slow your internal voice speed down and your breathing will slow down. Slow down your breathing and your nervous system will start to settle and get back to balance.

QUOTE: If you start to use the pathway towards calm more and more then what will happen is the connection to the stress pathway will start to fade. The gap will increase between that pathway and the stress pathway. And, the gap between that pathway and the happiness and calm pathway will get smaller. And so more and more nerve pathways will start to develop into happiness calm and relaxation.

Your social anxiety can be the result of a porn addiction…

In this fascinating interview Gary Wilson, author and researcher on Pornography and it’s addiction, shares the science behind how internet porn addiction could be the CAUSE of your social anxiety. 

He shares how hundreds of guys who stopped porn reported their social anxiety released.

And how non-anxious people’s desire to socialise increased, their confidence increased, they became more social. And, how some with diagnosed social anxiety and medication saw improvement or full remission of their condition by stopping porn.

This goes into the science behind it in an easily understood way.

And he also shares:

What to do to increase your will power and decrease your social anxiety within 8 weeks.

Why socialising or small talk can become boring (and how this can be reversed

Why you could be having trouble being disciplined

What sexual dysfunctions out there (erectile disfunction, unable to ejaculate, bizarre fetishes, etc) are the result of porn and how these can be reversed

QUOTE: Many studies have pointed to the dopamine system being important in socialising. Studies on social anxiety have found that maybe less dopamine is being produced or people with social anxiety have less dopamine receptors. There are also experiments on animals and even humans where they’ll purposely decrease dopamine and you’ll see a rise in anxiety and a rise in avoiding other animals or social contact. So it’s clear that the dopamine system is very important cause the dopamine system is the system that is motivating you to go out and seek rewards. The primary rewards for all social animals are of course food and water, but also sex and of course socialising. Maybe addiction-related brain changes are reversed when people give up porn and then they seek out normal rewards such as socialising.
